Gestalt TherapyGestalt Therapy is an exceptionally versatile approach that uses a variety of methods (such as role-plays, art and music) to improve feelings of self worth and your ability to function in your environment. Through this, you will begin to recognize ways to develop your life circumstances for the better. This flexibility means that Gestalt therapy can be adapted to most people regardless of their personal background and is successfully used to treat many issues including stress, depression, abuse, loss/bereavement, alcoholism and eating disorders. I ground my work in a conversational relationship, meeting individuals as equals in a genuine, confidential, non-judgemental and holistic manner. My aim throughout the therapy is to focus on you and your unique situation Your Counsellor – Georgina MulliganHaving worked in the nursing profession for many years, I have cared for people with many different illnesses and problems. In 1995 I naturally progressed into counselling and I have gained considerable experience as a therapist working with clients with stress, loss, depression, bereavement and alcohol-related problems. I frequently work with people who are experiencing difficulties and want to make changes to improve the quality of their lives. I have also worked with disaffected young people and have been trained in domestic violence counselling I have a Diploma in Gestalt Therapy and Person Centred Counselling, a Certificate of Education (Counselling) and B.Tec. in Social Care. I am a member of BACP (The British Association for Counselling and Psychology.) |
