Reiki and the learning of Reiki is a process. You understand
Reiki by experiencing it and allowing it into your life.
Reiki training is in three levels - first degree, second degree and master
level. At each degree you are introduced to the fascinating insights or
this wonderful hands-on system for natural healing. You will also receive
attunements from your Reiki Master that will allow you to experience Reiki
energy and pass healing to others.
Reiki Attunements
Reiki one consists of four attunements as follows –
- Physical clearing
- Emotional clearing
- Mental clearing
- Spiritual clearing.
As the body processes the attunements they bring with them a deep cleansing and healing. Many people find they have increased intuition or creativity. Physically you may experience minor cold symptoms, headache, increased body discharges, etc. On an emotional level you may feel tiredness, have vivid dreams, surges of emotion such as anger/tears or old memories resurfacing which need to be resolved. Reiki will affect you in the way that is right for you and symptoms will pass in a few days.
Traditionally a 21 day cleansing period follows Reiki one. Practising on yourself daily will maximise the benefits. Once you have been attuned to Reiki one the more you use the energy the stronger it will become. It is common for people to find the clarity and strength to bring positive change into their lives.
Reiki two is for those people wishing to develop their Reiki to a deeper level. At least three months should pass after the Reiki one attunement. During this training you will receive another attunement. You will also be introduced to three powerful symbols that can be used for protection, cleansing, meditation and distance healing. Reiki two increases your ability to channel the Reiki energy to help yourself and others. This level is the practitioner level.
Reiki three is for those people who wish to embrace Reiki further into their lives and for those who wish to teach Reiki. You should allow at least six months to pass before going on the Reiki three as Reiki two should be fully integrated and processed before moving to the next level. You need to show a commitment to Reiki and to be using Reiki in your daily life. The Master's degree consists of another deep level attunement and further symbols. You will be shown enhanced healing techniques and taught how to pass on attunements. Many people who undergo Reiki 3 training find many of their life experiences reach a point of completion. Their lives change in subtle or even dramatic ways. They find their inner truth and light that brings a sense of peace and well-being.
